If you are a young woman who would like to experience an at-home Eucharist, followed by dinner and discussion of the readings in an informal setting, you are invited to join other young women and Sisters of St. Joseph for Mass on the first Monday of each month at 6 pm. These evenings are held at the home of a group of Sisters of St. Joseph, near Bloor and Spadina.

Dead Man Walking: The Journey Continues

Sr. Helen Prejean, C.S.J. will present the inaugural Martin Royackers Lecture entitled "Dead Man Walking: The Journey Continues". An introduction will be made by Fr. Thomas Rosica, C.S.B. Sr. Elaine MacInnes, O.L.M. will join Sr. Prejean to discuss the work of Freeing the Human Spirit and for a question and answer session moderated by Barbara Budd of the CBC. The Martin Royackers Lecture will be held at Regis College at St. Joseph Chapel on Tuesday April 20 at 7:30 pm. No advanced registration is required. Admission is free. Contributions will be welcome.

Training for Friendly Visitors

The Sisters of St. Joseph, Toronto, have developed a training session for their In Good Company ministry.
In Good Company volunteers visit marginalized and/or isolated individuals in their homes. The sisters would like to open the registration to people who do visiting for their parishes.
$20 per person to cover costs. Light refreshments will be served. Please register by Friday, March 13, 2009. You must attend both sessions: Saturdays, March 21 and 28.
