Be introduced to a simple yet profound process that will enable you to prevent or resolve differences, express yourself clearly, listen with presence, and reduce stress. Constructive Communication, also known as Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC), was developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., and has been used world-wide for over 35 years. Whatever your personal challenges, this workshop will provide the fundamentals for you to transform your communication and connection with friends, family and co-workers.

  • KATHLEEN CONWAY, MA ( is a facilitator and writer who specializes in communications skills.  She is a trainer candidate with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (, and has studied the work of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg for ten years. Kathleen is certified as a coach & facilitator by the Center for Creative Leadership and leads lively, interactive and practical workshops throughout Canada and the U.S. Her current clients include VISA Canada, Indigo Books and Music, TSX Group, and federal and provincial government ministries and agencies.   • LOCATION: In the 2nd floor chapel of our partner, the Toronto Grace Hospital workplace, 650 Church St. at the S/W corner of Bloor St.  Just a few minutes walk from the Yonge-Bloor TTC station.  Metered parking is on Church and Hayden Streets, and a paid lot at the Grace.  Use the main northwest entrance.

  • REGISTRATION: Program fee of $100 received by Monday March 23 or $115 following ($75 or $90 for Blue Card holders from our partner, the University of St. Michael's College in the University of Toronto) plus $10 non-refundable materials fee also payable on registration.. For cancellations, a $25 admin fee is withheld if notification is received by the earlybird date, or you may substitute another person for no additional fee up until the program begins.   • CAR-POOLING: If you are coming from outside Toronto and can give a ride or need a ride, please contact Rita Reid-Smith at  She will connect possible car-poolers so that hopefully everyone who wants to attend is able to.  We suggest that each passenger contribute $5.00 each way to the driver.
