A Man on a Mission: Mark’s Portrait of Jesus

Mark portrays Jesus as a man on a mission and in a hurry.  Jesus is anxious to proclaim the arrival of the Kingdom of God and travels around Judea preaching to the people.  Parables and miracles demonstrate the Kingdom is here.

During 2009 the Church will read on most Sundays from the Gospel of Mark.  Examine with Father Stan, Mark’s portrayal of Jesus and explore its meaning for our lives today.
