"Love, Henri" Henri Noewen's Letters on the Spiritual Life: A Dramatic Presentation with Music

Event Date:
Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Celebrated Dutch-born Catholic priest, professor and pastor Henri Nouwen is one of the most popular and influential spiritual writers of the late twentieth century. With an extraordinary capacity to reach wide audiences across the religious, cultural and political spectrum,

Henri touched millions through his books, lectures, workshops, and personal letters written to those who wrote him seeking encouragement and spiritual direction.

Emmanuel College's Continuing Education program and the Henri Nouwen Society present a music-accompanied live reading of Nouwen’s letters from Love, Henri: Letters on the Spiritual Life, a book filled with a selection of 200 of Nouwen’s most personal and compelling epistles.

Gabrielle Earnshaw, the book’s editor, is the creator of this unique experience, part lecture and part performance, that offers a rich introduction to the wisdom and compassion of Father Henri Nouwen.

Tickets are $20, or $10 for students (student ID required at the door).
