Great Lakes Water Walk - Toronto Waterfront Trail

Event Date:
Sunday, September 24, 2017 (All day)

You are invited to join a sacred walk along Toronto's Waterfront Trail. It will culminate at Marilyn Bell Park, 851 Lakeshore Blvd. W., near Dufferin at 3:30pm where prayers and blessing will be led by Anishnaabeg grandmothers.

Details on where you might join the walk will come closer to the date. This is part of a much longer Walk began by Objiway elder, Josephine Mandamin who has been walking around all of the Great Lakes.

"the mission of the Great Lakes Water Walk is to awaken the innate, sacred reverence for water that ripples deeply within us all, and harness the individual and collective energy and preserve and protect the Great Lakes".

This has very special meaning for all in Toronto as we live within the sacred watershed of Lake Ontario.
Parishioners of all ages are strongly encouraged to join the Walk as we enter into the Season of Creation.
