On the occasion of World Day of Peace, January 1st, 2014, receive appeals for peace by e-mail, every couple of hours, for 24 hours, from various recognized organizations as well as information on the world’s great humanitarian causes. Meet peacemakers from here and elsewhere,send your own resolutions and messages of peace and interact with other participants.

The first World Peace Day was January 1st 1968.Let's continue the act of hope, sending calls for peace around the world for the New Year! Send in a wish, a resolution, a message or a prayer for peace today! You can also create a poem, a slam, a song, a graffiti or a drawing demanding a more equal, tolerant and loving world. Send it to participate@24hoursforworldpeace.org before December 15th,2013.

It will be posted during the 24 Hours for World Peace event on January 1st. It will be a part of a “great heart petition” sent to many organizations working for peace.

This community event is not affiliated with Faith Connections, but we believe it to be of specific interest to young adults aged 18-39 and with a faith-based or social justice theme.
