Faith Connections' THEOLOGY ON TAP: Living Your Faith in the Corporate World

Event Date:
Monday, November 25, 2013 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Special guest: Michelle Henry, corporate lawyer.

These are common questions: how do we reconcile God’s call to do nothing out of selfish ambitions with the pressures and measures of success in the corporate world? Why does it need reconciling? Do we have to compromise our faith in order to be successful in the corporate world? As Christians, most of us understand that we are part of God’s plan, and God has a purpose for our lives by placing us in certain roles and giving us specific talents. Yet, it is sometimes difficult to recognize and accept our roles as agents of transformation in business. Hopefully, this discussion will give us a better understanding of how we as Christians can succeed in business, transform business, and still live every minute of our lives as examples of our faith.

Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24)
