World Youth Day at Home

Event Date:
Saturday, July 27, 2013 (All day)

Not going to World Youth Day in Brazil? Still want to experience WYD? Youth and young adults (ages 16-35) from ALL dioceses are invited to take part in World Youth Day at Home, hosted by the Archdiocese of Kingston Youth Office. The day will include many of the same activities experienced at WYD. We'll be bringing the world to Kingston by showcasing a variety of cultural groups. The Youth Festival stage on the cathedral lawns will feature some fantastic talent, and throughout the day, catechesis sessions centred on the WYD theme "Go and Make Disciples of All Nations" (Mt 28:19) will be led by Archbishop O'Brien and Archbishop Prendergast. There will also be praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, an evening Mass, and more.
For more information about the day's events, performing in the youth festival, participation in the multicultural booths, and to register please visit - www.worldyouthdayathome.com or contact Nadia Gundert at 613-548-4461.
