Raising Faith-Filled Kids - For Young Adult Parents

Event Date:
Saturday, July 13, 2013 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm

Parent Talk: Getting Off to a Great Start. For First-time parents along with your babies/children. Although this talk is tailored towards first-time parents, all parents with young children and those who are expecting are welcome. Hear from Patrick and Carissa Douglas on how to raise young children in the faith and get off to a great start. Take away practical tips and meet other young parents in the community!

Patrick and Carissa Douglas are blessed parents of 7 children, 10 years of age and under, with baby number 8 on the way in August. Patrick works as the Director of Human Resources and Operations at the Newman Centre, while Carissa directs their little ones through homeschooling at their home in Sutton, Ontario. Inspired by their Catholic faith and the incredible subject matter at home, Carissa has written, illustrated and published the first book in the 'Little Douglings' series, entitled 'I Go To Jesus'. Patrick has been a regular on the parenting panel on Salt and Light Television's Perspectives. Carissa has given talks at various retreats, parishes, Gethsemane Ministries and Legatus on the witness of faith and the centrality of the Eucharist in the life of their family.

There is no cost to attend this session but we ask that you RSVP by emailing Racquel at cookiesevilla@hotmail.com by Wednesday, July 10, 5:00 p.m.
