The gospel for Cycle C is the Gospel of St. Luke. It is a unique and marvelous telling of the life of Jesus for Luke’s community as well as for the larger Church community of his times and down through the ages. Some questions we will address: Who was St. Luke? When did he write? Who was his audience? What was St. Luke’s world like? Why did he write about Jesus? We will consider these questions and his story of Jesus within the framework of the liturgical calendar. Suggested background reading for each evening is suggested.
The faith Journey to Jerusalem – Qualities & Guidance for “the Way.” Suggested reading: St. Luke 9:51 – 19:44.
