HIKE & PRAYER: Among All Living Things

Event Date:
Saturday, November 24, 2012 - 10:00am - 1:30pm

Young adults (18-39) are invited to join us for a November HIKE & PRAYER at Rouge Park!

Our faith teaches us that God's creative power and wisdom govern creation and that all living things can show us something about our Creator. By taking time to pray with all living things, we are reminded of our participation in God's good creation. During the Hike we will reflect on the meaning of Psalm 19: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge." (Psalm 19:1-2)

We'll be meeting together at 7450 Kingston Road at 10am. You can learn more about Rouge Park at: http://www.rougepark.com/

Here are some hiking tips:

  • Bring some water with you, in a reusable bottle, or thermal mug.
  • The trails are rugged, and may be steep or slippery. Remember to wear sturdy shoes.
  • Dress warmly! Layers help.
  • Be prepared! A hat and allergy meds are always good to bring along.
  • Don't forget your camera!
For more information, and to receive a cell phone number where you can reach us Saturday morning if needed, contact Héctor at faithconnections@csj-to.ca or call 416-467-2645.
