Beginning of Year of Faith

Event Date:
Friday, November 2, 2012 - 11:00am

I wish you a happy beginning to the Year of Faith! This is a very exciting time in the Church, marking the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council, the 20th anniversary of publication of the universal Catechism, and presently, the synod in Rome on the New Evangelization.

What are you doing for the Year of Faith? If you are looking for something special to take part in,
I warmly recommend a course that we are hosting bi-weekly on Fridays. This course on the Creed delves
deeply into the topic of Catholic faith. The next session, "Who and How is God? Father and Creator"

As well, some of us have responded to an encouragement from the Holy Father to read through the
Catechism during this year in effort to deepen our understanding of the Faith. Would you like to join us?
We have a basic reading plan available here, and we will be meeting up for informal discussion of the material on Mondays at 1pm in the Newman Centre.
