THEOLOGY ON TAP: Putting Our Religious Values into Work

Event Date:
Monday, October 15, 2012 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Special guest: Sr. Griselda Martinez Morales, representative of the Sisters of Saint Joseph at the United Nations.

Griselda Martinez Morales, a Sister of Saint Joseph of Lyon from the Province of Mexico, assumed the job as representative of the Sisters of Saint Joseph at the United Nations in an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) in Oct 2009.

In that role, she attended Rio+20 - the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development that took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in June 2012 - as an historic opportunity to define pathways to a safer, more equitable, cleaner, greener and more prosperous world for all.

We'll talk about how we can reduce poverty, advance social equity and ensure environmental protection on an ever more crowded planet to get to the future we want.
