THEOLOGY ON TAP: Our Lenten Journey - Engaging the World from an Ecological Perspective

Event Date:
Monday, February 27, 2012 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Special guest: Sr. Noreen Allossery-Walsh, osu, Doctoral Studies, Ecological Responsibility.

We'll reflect on the importance of understanding the "world" within a contemporary cosmological framework in order to live our Christian vocation - to alleviate suffering in a more integrated way.

Noreen has worked as an educator in the area of spirituality and social justice for 25 years. Among her many ministry experiences, her work in Chiclayo, Peru and in the Office for Social Justice have shaped her global vision and sense of mission. Her recent doctoral studies in Ecological Responsibility emphasizes that justice calls the global community to interact with creation holistically as a "communion of subjects rather than as a collection of objects to be exploited". Noreen believes her vocation at this time in Earth’s history is to facilitate dialogue between science and faith through cosmology - The New Story of the Universe.
