mcluhan way: in search of truth

As part of the McLuhan 100 Centenary Conference you're invited to a special screening of the award-winning documentary film McLuhan Way: In Search of Truth, a film that explores the intimate relationship between Marshall McLuhan's Catholic faith and his famous and still influential work in media studies.

The film was recently highlighted by National Post columnist Fr. Raymond de Souza in his opening article "Sea to Sea: Marshall McLuhan and a New Magazine" for the launch of Convivium a new national magazine which he's co-founded. Fr de Souza begins his article by stating:

...McLuhan's religious thinking is essential to understanding his entire work, and the best introduction to his life as a Catholic thinker is a marvellous documentary made a few years back by Canadian filmmaker Deiren Masterson—McLuhan Way: In Search of Truth.

The films Director Deiren Masterson will be present for a post-screening Q&A, offering some of his perspectives on one of the core driving explorations behind the film: what does presence mean in the digital age?
