EAT PRAY SHARE: Breaking Bread

Event Date:
Wednesday, October 19, 2011 - 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Eat Pray Share

A program of Faith Connections, designed by Genevieve Anderson as featured by The Catholic Register and Salt + Light TV.

Join us for "Breaking Bread," a new Fall series of Eat Pray Share sessions where young adults (18-39) share a meal and personal insights about the spirituality of food, within an ecumenical context.

Participants take turns shopping for local food, preparing a meal to be enjoyed together, and taking time to pray and reflect on scriptural themes related to food.

"He had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread."
Luke 24:35

Note: registration is required as there are a limited number of seats (filled on a first-come, first-served basis). The cost is $30, plus contribution of ingredients and cooking for one meal as part of a 3-person team.

The time is 6:30pm to 9:00pm for each session. (Cooking teams arrive at 5:45pm, and cleanup completes by 9:30pm.) The dates include:

  • Wednesday, October 19
  • Wednesday, November 2
  • Wednesday, November 16
  • Wednesday, November 30
  • A fifth "outreach" session will be discussed and scheduled during the sessions.

The location will be in a home of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto in the East end, near Eglinton and Victoria Park (we'll send the address with your registration confirmation).
