LENTEN MOVIE NIGHT: Gran Torino
Faith Connections, the Daughters of St. Paul, and the Newman Centre invite young adults (18-39) to join us for:
People, Popcorn and Pondering II
A Lenten movie night for young adults
We'll be watching Gran Torino, the story of a disgruntled Korean War vet who sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal his prized possession: a 1972 Ford Gran Torino.
Minimum donation: $5, includes refreshments and munchies (and popcorn, of course!)
If possible, can you also bring a pair of MEN'S SHOES for our Shoe Drive? Donations will be gratefully accepted this evening for St. Felix Centre, a new outreach ministry of the Newman Centre. For more information about this community program, check out their website at http://www.stfelixcentre.ca/
