The Church through the Public Eye

OCY’s Second Annual Young Adult Symposium, “The Church through the Public Eye”

This Symposium is organized by the Office of Catholic Youth (OCY) in collaboration with the Ryerson Catholic Chaplaincy Centre and the Catholic Student Association at Ryerson University.

At Ryerson University, renowned for studies in journalism, Michael Coren, CTS Host and Producer and Sun Media and Catholic Register Columnist will lead a panel to discuss “The Church through the Public Eye.”  The panellists include Charles Lewis, Religion Reporter for the National Post and Editor of “Holy Post”, Barbara Kay, National Post Columnist, and Sun Media National Bureau Senior Correspondent Brian Lilley.  They will be joined by Joyce Smith, PhD, Associate Professor and Director, Graduate Program School of Journalism Ryerson University.  There will be an introductory talk by Archdiocese of Toronto Public Relations and Communications Director Neil MacCarthy. Upon conclusion of the panel, there will be a Q & A period involving the audience and all of the guests.
