Celebrating Rumi: A Journey Through the Heart

Celebrating Rumi: A Journey Through the Heart is a Concert of poetry, songs, and music in English, Turkish and Farsi.

The event takes place on Sunday, December 16 at 7:00 pm
at the Institute of Traditional Medicine, 553 Queen Street West, 2nd floor, between Bathurst and Spadina.

The evening is dedicated to and inspired by Mawlana
Jelal'uddin Rumi, the universal mystic poet and spiritual master,
celebrating the 800th anniversary of his birth. With ney (Turkish
bamboo flute) bandir (frame drum), guitar, piano, and voices. Hear some
of the most popular poetry in North America in recitation and as songs
set to music.
