Reminder: Spot a Hero Campaign

SPOT A HERO CAMPAIGN: Modern Day Youth Heroes

They’re all around us. they are your friends, classmates, brothers or sisters. Their deeds may be simple but noble, random acts of kindness are what we need today in our world. If you see them, tell us their story. Let’s recognize their efforts.

GK Youth Build is looking for worthy “everyday heroes,” and would like to recognize them with an award (this could be your friend, neighbour, co-worker or it can also be “you”).

Nomination: Anyone can nominate a hero. It is open to all. However, the hero you nominate must be between 14-35 years old to qualify.
Attach a 500 word essay outlining why this person is a "hero". Help the selection committee get to know this person as you do. Be as specific as you can about how this hero helped you or others in the school or community at large. Explain why this hero is a good candidate to win. Help the committee to understand what makes a person a hero and explain how the hero you are nominating meets these criteria for greatness. Your examples may include classroom or extra curricular activities, community or environmental work. A photo would be helpful. Submission entry must be verifiable and certified by a qualified person.
