Young people called to Prayer and Action

At last weekends Prayer and Action Fair displays ranged from contemplative nuns to rock bands, and everything in between! Hosted by Faith Connections, the fair was part of the Office of Catholic Youth's Ontario Regional World Youth Day Celebrations held at the Martyr's Shrine in Midland from July 17 - 20 2008.

Faith Connections invited local ministries and groups to run activity oriented prayer and justice stations. There were prayer workshops, sweatshop-free/green t-shirts, vocational directors, music CDs, and more.

No one will forget the intermittent thunderstorms that kept us running for the cover of the Shrine - but while the rain may have dampened our tents and sleeping bags, it didn't dampen our spirits! Many young people visited our Prayer and Action Fair during their afternoon free time, and we all had fantastic opportunities to really engage people one-on-one.
