Youth Ministry Employment Opportunities @ St. John Vianney Parish (Barrie)

The successful candidate will be working in a parish setting with over 4000 registered families. There is an existing Life Teen Program implemented by a NET Canada parish team in 2006/2007. There are two priests and support staff presently at the parish.

Requirements:

    *
      Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Education or Equivalent
    *
      Training and/or Experience in Life Teen/EDGE and associated programs preferred
    *
      Ability to work in a team setting
    *
      Energetic, young at heart and a zeal for ministry

Areas of Responsibility:

    *
      Coordinate High School Ministry - Life Team Program
    *
      Coordinate Middle School Ministry - The Edge Program for Grade 7 & 8's
    *
      Confirmation Program
    *
      Recruitment and training of various volunteers for programs - CORE, A-TEAM, CREW, etc.
    *
      Being responsible for the various volunteers and assisting them in planning the Life Nights, EDGE nights and special events
    *
      Planning retreats
    *
      High School and Elementary Schools contact, creating a parish 'presence' there and inviting students to attend the youth programs
    *
      Assisting with the Life Teen Mass

Commitment:

    *
      Full time hours
    *
      Salaried position with diocesan benefits
    *
      Wage negotiable based on education and experience
