POSITION:    Administrative Coordinator

  

PURPOSE:     To assist and support the Director and Assistant Director of Faith Connections, a ministry to and with young adults (18-39yrs) using skills in: design, advertising, websites, administration, writing, and editing.  

  

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Design experience and creativity
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products 
  • Experience with desktop publishing and photo software preferred
  • Sensitive to the issues of diversity and to the needs of young adults 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with Director and Assistant Director

  REQUIRMENTS: 

  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Comfortable working in a faith-based non-profit organization  

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •   Design and distribute publication material
  • Assist in writing various publications, newsletters, brochures, etc.
  • Edit content submitted for website and other Faith Connections communications / publications.
  • Update and maintain database
  • Update, edit and maintain website
  • Research young adult friendly faith / justice / spiritual events taking place within the Archdiocese of Toronto 
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for Faith Connections programs/events
  • Assist in Event planning including registration, refreshments, advertising, sponsorship, etc.  
  • Follow up with contacts as needed 
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

REPORTING TO:     Sr Thérèse Meunier, Director

 

DAYS & HOURS:     15 to 20 hours a week
